We are looking for a Registered Early Childhood Educator to join Tiny Hoppers Sherwood Park.
A successful candidate will have strong communication skills, a kind and gentle approach when interacting with children, and the ability to create engaging, creative learning experiences that foster children's development.
Requirements:
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C.
- Recent Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of ECEs.
- Up-to-date immunization record.
- Great communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel.
- Must be able to plan and assist with daily program and activities following an emergent curriculum.
- Must be able to maintain proper documentation.
- Food Handlers certificate (preferred).
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for children under 6 that promote physical, cognitive and social development.
- Complete daily observations of children and prepare documentation of their learning.
- Communicate with families to foster an open and collaborative relationship and actively encouraging their participation in the program.
- Assist children with mealtimes, naptime, toileting and dressing.
- Work collaboratively with Tiny Hoppers staff.
- Adhere to Halton Region and Ministry of Education regulations.
- Ensure children are engaged in activities, playing safely and having fun.
